Wren is about 4mo old and is looking for a patient home to call her forever. She is shy but will warm up. She would do best in a home with a confident dog to help her. She is dog friendly. Wren has not been exposed to children under 8yrs old and maybe a bit shy for them.
Wren is kennel trained and almost house trained. She loves her playtime and is ok being independent but when she decides shes ready she's a huge snuggle bug!
Wren is a husky/terrier mix with short fur and the cutest little black polka dots on her sides!
Wren is adoptable on contract to finish her vetting.

Zoie is a very happy puppy with lots of energy. She loves to play with other dogs she will even play with the cats. She does great sleeping in the kennel. Zoie knows how to ring the bell to go outside and potty, although she still needs to be monitored if she is out of the kennel. She is learning recall right now, down and stay. Zoie is very treat/food motivated! She needs a home with someone who is active, and has the time to walk her multiple times a day or has a yard for her to run. She will be happy in a house with other animals especially a dog to play with! However she would still love to be the only furry friend too! She is definitely a Velcro dog and will follow you anywhere, take her in the car she loves the windows. She hasn’t been around kids yet but she seems very interested! Zoe is an almost 4mo old Husky/terrier mix. She is available for adoption on contract to finish her vetting.
Looking for a forever home for this sweet girl! She’s about 5 months old and looks like a black lab mix. She can be a little nervous at first (new places can be scary), but she warms up quickly—especially in a calm, loving home. Once she’s comfortable, she is SO sweet and full of love. She doesn’t love being picked up, but she absolutely loves to cuddle and will happily sit next to you and just be close. She’s doing great with my puppy and cats—very gentle and playful. She also absolutely adores my slightly energetic 7-year-old and does amazing with kids. Potty training is going really well! If I carry her outside, she goes no problem, and otherwise she’ll use a potty pad on her own 👏 She’s even started walking out on her own a few times! She’s gotten much more comfortable with new people in my home and really enjoys just hanging out and being part of the family. She also did SO good for her first bath. Car rides and going out to new places are still pretty scary for her, so she’ll need a patient home willing to keep building her confidence at her pace. She truly is such a loving, gentle pup and is going to make someone an amazing companion. Deliliah is ready for adoption on contract to finish her vetting.
Meet Nova! Nova is about 8mo old now. Shes a beautiful soul of a pup with lots of love to give. We were told shes a Husky mix but she looks shepherd mix too. What we know for certain is she's curious, friendly, lovable and always wants to be where the people are. Nova is good with other dogs and has been around children over 8yrs old. She has chased the resident cats. Nothing agressive but she does chase them. Nova still shows her abundance of puppy energy and will pull in a leash some but corrects well. Shes the type of dog to give you hugs and kisses everytime you come home. But she'd prefer you never leave. Nova knows some basic commands already. Nova is ready for her forever home! Give this beautiful gal a look or a share. Or better yet, an application for her furever!
Happy Tuesday from Miss Millie! Millie is approx. 11 months old. We're pretty sure she was left behind when her family moved we but we really don't know. She just showed up at a volunteers home. But Millie was hiding something.....she was pregnant. Millie has been an excellent mom to her kittens but now she's ready to be done. Millie will be spayed this week and is available for adoption. She loves people. Millie is cat tolerant but could do without having another one around. She is also dog friendly with calm dogs. She has not been around young, hyper dogs that we know of.
Tia got her first groom last Friday and did great! This special girl has come so far since joining rescue. Tia is a 10yr old Maltese mix who was surrendered from a puppy mill back in November. Shes been working in her socializing and learning what a house is. Tia is not your typical dog. She does well with puppy pads and does enjoy her outside time. Tia is still learning that humans are ok. And we don't blame her. When you spend the first 10yrs of your life in a puppy mill; it changes you. Thankfully her puppy having days are over. Tia is fully vetted. She will require a calm home with understanding people who get that shes not a lap dog. Her family will need to understand that she has to take things at her pace. Her kennel is her safe spot. She loves to watch her foster siblings and resident dogs from the comfort of her doggy bed in the safety of her kennel. She's been thru somethings and patience is the key with her. Her trust cant be rushed, it has to be earned. She would do best with another dog her size for a companion that she can learn from. She maybe older but she deserves to live the rest of her life in comfort and safety. With unconditional love, patience and understanding.
We have a very special dog for you to meet. His name isn't unique or outstanding but his story and his personality certainly are! This is Buddy. Buddy arrived into foster care 12/7/24. No, thats not a typo. Buddy has been in foster care for over a year. He was 6mo old when we got him and sadly, Buddy had Anaplasmosis. Anaplasmosis; also known as tick borne disease; caused Buddy to have dangerously low platelet counts. He was one of those special babies we just wanted to wrap in bubble wrap to keep him safe but Buddy had other plans. He wanted to dog. He wanted to play. He wanted to run with his foster siblings. Carefully and under the very watchful eye of his foster mom; he did! Buddy got to be a dog. Buddy has fought to get healthy for a year. A year of prednisone and sometimes other meds when he had complications to be healthy enough to safely neuter and live a normal life. Buddy WON!! He took his meds like a champ and he learned every day! We are ecstatic to say Buddy is finally healthy! His blood counts have held without the meds!! On the outside he looks like a normal dog. Ok, maybe a little chunky but prednisone does that. On the inside he's steel from fighting his hard won battle. Buddy is officially ready to find his forever!! Here's what's most important to know about Buddy's future forever home. He's a very determined boy who needs a home that can not only set but maintain boundaries!! This is non-negotiable for him. He's a big boy and sometimes stubborn. Buddy is good with other dogs of all sizes. Buddy is very gentle when taking treats from children, when hes told to and his boundaries are in place. Cats are a hard no. Buddy is house trained and pretty good on a leash. He does still pull but he didn't get much practice as a pup because of his health issues. It was to risky to expose him to potential bites ect. When Buddy came to us his counts were so low that trimming a nail to short could be life threatening so he wasn't taken for many walks. He will need practice. Buddy is an amazing dog and has fought so hard to get to this point. He deserves the world!! Buddy does get along easier and faster with women than men but he loves everyone. Buddy is a special case. But he will forever be your Buddy if you let him.

***COURTESY POST. NOT IN OUR CARE**** I write this with tears in my eyes...... Penny Jean Around 1 year old. Sweet baby who wants to snuggle non stop. Lots of energy, (puppy life in her is strong) She will kiss you with her extremely long tongue. And she will snuggle you in bed. But she wants to know that she's you're only dog/animal love. She needs a little more training and guidance, as she gets too excited and she likes to play hard... so no kids in the house. She is not cat friendly, she will chase them. My ideal home for her would be where she is the only animal, with a single guy or single woman or a couple to love her. Please TEXT her mom at 402-350-8794
***COURTESY POST. NOT IN OUR CARE*** Meet Lima, an adorable 8 year old mixed breed, medium sized dog package of cuteness! Lima came from.. you guessed it Peru! She was a stray dog there living in a cemetery and needed help. She's been in the states for 7 years though and due to a change in her family's living situation, they are sadly unable to keep her after 7 years together. Lima has been staying home alone for up to 10-12 hrs daily (9hrs is about her max comfortably) and her owner has decided that's not what's best for her so they want to give her a chance for a happier life where someone is home more. She is dearly loved and has been an amazing dog, her owner stated. Lima is healthy, happy and loves to run around and play but is also a good lounger. She' good with cats, kids and all people. Lima is spayed, UTD on vaccines and ready to go to her new home! Interested in Lima? Please reach out to her Mom for a meeting. Rehoming fee applies. Lima comes with all her things.. bed, leash, bowls, food etc. Please contact Hannah Howard hphelps1973@gmail.com for more information..
**Courtesy Post Only. NOT in our care** Chloe's owner passed away and is she finds herself in need of a new home. Chloe is a pitbull/boxer mix, 10 years old. Not cats (which is why family is unable to take her). She has gotten along with other dogs, just not one of the 5 that she was living with in a temporary home. (A family friend took her but had 5 dogs, we think she was overwhelmed from going to a single dog home to a multi dog home) right after my dad passed. She is a lover, likes exercise, playing, and sleeping in. When she lays down, she lays with her back legs out, it’s cute. Chloe is frightened by thunder and fireworks so takes Trazadone to help soothe her fear (she may still crawl under the bed where she feels safe). Chloe is potty trained, can sit, lay down. She is also up to date on all vaccinations. Please contact her current careteaker at 402)314-0601
