Meet Ginger! Ginger is a 3-1/2mo old mixed breed we are lovingly calling a huskyhuaha. 🤣 She is an sweet little thing who loves to talk to you and occasionally try to sing the song of her people. Ginger is a smart girl who has decided chain link fences are just challenges to be overcome. She will require a 6ft privacy fence or to be on a lead when outside. Ginger is good in the car and is kennel trained. She's working on all the puppy manners and skills. Ginger gets along well with the resident dogs, both large and small. If your looking for an exciting addition to your life or a good conversationalist Ginger is your girl! We're not sure which breed her beautiful red coat comes from but shes sporting it with style. She will stay on the smaller side based on her paws. 🐾 Gingers coloring and personality piqued her foster moms interest so much she ran a DNA on her. Basics attached in pictures.
Meet Bella, yes, she's judging you. Bella wants to be the boss but shes all hiss and no bite. Bella likes attention on her terms and reminds us more of a calico/tortie than a tuxedo 🤣 she has the cutest little white spot on her back that looks like someone dropped paint on her and tried to wipe it off. When shes in the mood she has a purr motor for days! Bella is approx 11 weeks and we just know shes going to grow into a snuggle bug. Bella is litter trained, cat friendly and calm dog tolerant. She is available for adoption on contract.
This little angel is Rylee! Rylee is fully grown and fully vetted. Shes an approx 2yr old terrier mix who is rocking the best hairdo we've seen on a dog her size in awhile. ❤️ This little girl has been a mama but her parenting days are done. Rylee is good with most dogs but cautious of very large ones (60+lbs). Shss a vocal gal whose not afraid to set her boundaries but is also very respectful in doing so. Rylee ia working on loving being touched but for now is her absolute happiest just following you around and being in your presence. She loves to be with you, even of your not touching her. Rylee has had a ruff few days with transport and changes made her a bit cautious but the longer shes here the more comfy she's getting. Rylee thinks that sphinx cats are strange creatures but she hasnt met a cat with fur to judge against yet. Rylee is an absolute sweetheart and will be amazing in her future home. Can she be a part of your home?
Looking for a forever home for this sweet girl! She’s about 5 months old and looks like a black lab mix. She can be a little nervous at first (new places can be scary), but she warms up quickly—especially in a calm, loving home. Once she’s comfortable, she is SO sweet and full of love. She doesn’t love being picked up, but she absolutely loves to cuddle and will happily sit next to you and just be close. She’s doing great with my puppy and cats—very gentle and playful. She also absolutely adores my slightly energetic 7-year-old and does amazing with kids. Potty training is going really well! If I carry her outside, she goes no problem, and otherwise she’ll use a potty pad on her own 👏 She’s even started walking out on her own a few times! She’s gotten much more comfortable with new people in my home and really enjoys just hanging out and being part of the family. She also did SO good for her first bath. Car rides and going out to new places are still pretty scary for her, so she’ll need a patient home willing to keep building her confidence at her pace. She truly is such a loving, gentle pup and is going to make someone an amazing companion. Deliliah is ready for adoption on contract to finish her vetting.
Meet Nova! Nova is about 8mo old now. Shes a beautiful soul of a pup with lots of love to give. We were told shes a Husky mix but she looks shepherd mix too. What we know for certain is she's curious, friendly, lovable and always wants to be where the people are. Nova is good with other dogs and has been around children over 8yrs old. She has chased the resident cats. Nothing agressive but she does chase them. Nova still shows her abundance of puppy energy and will pull in a leash some but corrects well. Shes the type of dog to give you hugs and kisses everytime you come home. But she'd prefer you never leave. Nova knows some basic commands already. Nova is ready for her forever home! Give this beautiful gal a look or a share. Or better yet, an application for her furever!
Meet Steven! You maybe thinking wait, I've seen that kitten before....but unless youve been to an event you havent! We promise your not seeing double. Steven and Ace are brothers! Steven is approx 11 weeks old, litter trained, cat friendly and dog tolerant. He is a sweet little boy but he like to make you work for his attention. Unless your a moving toy and then watch out!! Steven is available for adoption on contract to finish his vetting.
Tia got her first groom last Friday and did great! This special girl has come so far since joining rescue. Tia is a 10yr old Maltese mix who was surrendered from a puppy mill back in November. Shes been working in her socializing and learning what a house is. Tia is not your typical dog. She does well with puppy pads and does enjoy her outside time. Tia is still learning that humans are ok. And we don't blame her. When you spend the first 10yrs of your life in a puppy mill; it changes you. Thankfully her puppy having days are over. Tia is fully vetted. She will require a calm home with understanding people who get that shes not a lap dog. Her family will need to understand that she has to take things at her pace. Her kennel is her safe spot. She loves to watch her foster siblings and resident dogs from the comfort of her doggy bed in the safety of her kennel. She's been thru somethings and patience is the key with her. Her trust cant be rushed, it has to be earned. She would do best with another dog her size for a companion that she can learn from. She maybe older but she deserves to live the rest of her life in comfort and safety. With unconditional love, patience and understanding.
We have a very special dog for you to meet. His name isn't unique or outstanding but his story and his personality certainly are! This is Buddy. Buddy arrived into foster care 12/7/24. No, thats not a typo. Buddy has been in foster care for over a year. He was 6mo old when we got him and sadly, Buddy had Anaplasmosis. Anaplasmosis; also known as tick borne disease; caused Buddy to have dangerously low platelet counts. He was one of those special babies we just wanted to wrap in bubble wrap to keep him safe but Buddy had other plans. He wanted to dog. He wanted to play. He wanted to run with his foster siblings. Carefully and under the very watchful eye of his foster mom; he did! Buddy got to be a dog. Buddy has fought to get healthy for a year. A year of prednisone and sometimes other meds when he had complications to be healthy enough to safely neuter and live a normal life. Buddy WON!! He took his meds like a champ and he learned every day! We are ecstatic to say Buddy is finally healthy! His blood counts have held without the meds!! On the outside he looks like a normal dog. Ok, maybe a little chunky but prednisone does that. On the inside he's steel from fighting his hard won battle. Buddy is officially ready to find his forever!! Here's what's most important to know about Buddy's future forever home. He's a very determined boy who needs a home that can not only set but maintain boundaries!! This is non-negotiable for him. He's a big boy and sometimes stubborn. Buddy is good with other dogs of all sizes. Buddy is very gentle when taking treats from children, when hes told to and his boundaries are in place. Cats are a hard no. Buddy is house trained and pretty good on a leash. He does still pull but he didn't get much practice as a pup because of his health issues. It was to risky to expose him to potential bites ect. When Buddy came to us his counts were so low that trimming a nail to short could be life threatening so he wasn't taken for many walks. He will need practice. Buddy is an amazing dog and has fought so hard to get to this point. He deserves the world!! Buddy does get along easier and faster with women than men but he loves everyone. Buddy is a special case. But he will forever be your Buddy if you let him.
Clyde (Formerly Nigel) has decided that Nebraska has all the best things! He's discovered the swimming pool, kids, chickens and cats! Swimming is awesome, kids are fun to play with, cats are strange but ok and not worth chasing. But those chickens? That's a nope. Not worth his time to bother them. All they do is walk around and cluck. What's the fun in that? He'd much rather be playing with other dogs or people and kids. Clyde knows he has a lot to learn yet cause he's just a little guy but boy oh boy has it been fun so far! He cant wait for hia next adventure and he's really hoping its with hia forever family. Clyde is adoptable on contract to finish his vetting.
We posted Friday today. In need of a foster home. We wanted to share a little more on where she comes from. So this is her story: Friday was not in a shelter but her life was just in as much danger. Just a different kind of danger. We saw her post in a lost/found pet group. And something about her made us decide we needed to help. We just couldn't ignore this little one. It was late on a Thursday evening but we reached out to our friend, who is an experienced trapper. Jennifer Graves has helped many animals. To be reunited with their owners or to find rescues to give them a second chance on life. And Jennifer was more than happy to help. It became a bit of a nail biter when Jennifer was ready to go out there the next day since Friday's post had gained lots of attention. Many people, meaning well, caused more harm than good when they decided to go out and 'catch the puppy'. All the attention and some chasing had caused Friday to run away from her hiding spot and into a field. A field with no cover. Perfect for predators. Thankfully she returned to her hiding spot and was eventually trapped. Now she will make her way to Nebraska. Looking for the perfect family.

**Courtesy Post Only. NOT in our care** Chloe's owner passed away and is she finds herself in need of a new home. Chloe is a pitbull/boxer mix, 10 years old. Not cats (which is why family is unable to take her). She has gotten along with other dogs, just not one of the 5 that she was living with in a temporary home. (A family friend took her but had 5 dogs, we think she was overwhelmed from going to a single dog home to a multi dog home) right after my dad passed. She is a lover, likes exercise, playing, and sleeping in. When she lays down, she lays with her back legs out, it’s cute. Chloe is frightened by thunder and fireworks so takes Trazadone to help soothe her fear (she may still crawl under the bed where she feels safe). Chloe is potty trained, can sit, lay down. She is also up to date on all vaccinations. Please contact her current careteaker at 402)314-0601
